Impasse over school arrears breached                                                            20 February 2006

Johannesburg Water, the water and sanitation service provider to the City of Johannesburg and the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) have mutually resolved to finalise all school accounts within 21 days. This comes on the wake of Johannesburg Water threatening to disconnect water services to defaulting schools.
