Please kindly note that we are planning a shutdown to install isolation valve on F6 pipeline on the 14th May 2020 for 12 hours. It will affect two meters which are Durban deep and West Roodepoort Meter.

Shutdown date is 14/05/2020 ,start time 08:00am to 22:00pm. Meters affected Durban deep meter and West Roodepoort meter.

Reason: Tie-in new pipeline to existing main

MIDRAND MAJOR OUTAGE

04 May 2020

Johannesburg Water advises residents of Greater Midrand of the emergency major shutdown from tomorrow night Tuesday 05 May 2020 at 22h00  and will last until Wednesday 06 May 2020 at 19h00. This is a necessary repair that needs to be finalised in order to continue to provide sustainable water service to all. The teams will be repairing a leak on Republic Road and the  shutdown will affect over 40000 house in the following areas:

  • Ivory Park all extensions,
  • Kaalfontein,
  • Ebony Park,
  • President Park,
  • Glen Austin, and
  • Austin View

Residents are encouraged to save water for the duration of the outage, continue to wash hands and minimise the spread of the coronavirus. We appeal to all to use water sparingly and there will be 14 roaming trucks to assist during the outage and we appeal for patience and cooperation.
