Due to the incident at Rand Water’s Vereeniging works, the subsequent impact will be on Eikenhof pump station. Meredale and Waterval reservoirs are directly affected with lower supply. The impact of reduced supply at Johannesburg Water’s Commando system, which feeds the Brixton, Hursthill and Crosby systems is being monitored. Johannesburg Water’s Roodepoort reservoirs are also being monitored. Further updates will be provided to customers.
Johannesburg Water urges customers to reduce consumption for critical needs during this period. Customers should report leaks and bursts to reduce the risk of larger water outages. Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused.
