Major burst pipe on Crawford Drive, Douglasdale. The team was unable to commence with repairs as water could not be isolated. A larger area will be isolated this morning to enable the team to complete repairs. The estimated completion time is 4pm.

Maintenance work at the Rand Water’s Vereeniging purification plant and Weltevreden is completed. They are ramping up the pumps at Vereeniging, and the lines at Weltevreden is charged, and Johannesburg Water meters are open.
Water supply to the affected direct fed areas should be restored during the cause of the morning.
Johannesburg Water urges residents to continue reducing consumption during this period and use water for essential purposes only.
We continue to monitoring the affected systems and further updates will be provided.
Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused.
