UPDATE: Repairs complete in shutdown affecting Strubens Valley, Amarosa, Ruimsig and Little Falls
Repairs were completed late last night. Water is being gradually restored, and the repair point is being monitored for leaks. Johannesburg Water teams are flushing the network to remove air from the system. Customers in higher lying areas will experience low pressure to no water as the network recovers.
Alternative water supply is provided through stationary tanks at the following locations:
1. Corner Witwatersrand and Montrose Avenues at the Little Falls Nature Reserve (hikers’ entrance). 2. Strubens Valley Library 3. Engen garage at Cascades Shopping Centre 4. Little Genius Nursery School, Augrabies Avenue 5. Back entrance of Trinity School on Sabie Street 6. Sasol garage and KFC in Peter Road, Ruimsig 7. Protea Retirement Village, Amarosa 8. Ruimsig Retirement Village
