Parktown 2 Reservoir is stable
Charlotte Maxeke Hospital has normalised, while the water levels at the Parktown 2 Reservoir continue to remain stable.
Parktown 2 Reservoir
The reservoir remains stable and supplying normally. The network is saturating, and there may be pockets of areas of poor pressure while the system is recovering.
Dunkeld Reservoir
The Dunkeld Reservoir continues to improve. The network is still charging, and there may be areas of poor pressure while the system recovers.
Berea Reservoir
The reservoir is supplying fairly. The system is configured to boost supply to customers. The capacity of the reservoir is expected to improve overnight.
With the current positive outlook, the Entity continues to monitor all three systems for bursts and is attending to airlocks that could be contributing to the lack of water supply. All three outlets are open, and systems are improving.
However, Johannesburg Water will continue monitoring and implementing necessary interventions to facilitate recovery and stabilise the system.
Johannesburg Water remains committed to resolving this matter and most customers have supply while alternative water supply is available to affected areas.
Alternative water supply continues to be provided.
