Commando system and Yeoville Pump Station.

Both Hursthill 1 and 2 Reservoirs: are critically low due to poor supply and high demand. Improvement is expected overnight. Hursthill 2 Reservoir outlet will be closed overnight to build capacity for the next day.

Crosby Reservoir is low but stable and supplying normally.

Brixton reservoir is low but supplying normal. Due to reservoir low levels, pumping to the tower is affected and poor pressure is expected in high-lying areas of the supply zone. Brixton Tower is supplying normally but may be affected by reservoir low level.

Commando system is still recovering from yesterday power outage at bulk supplier Eikenhof Pump Station.

Yeoville pump station update.
A power outage affected the pump station in the morning. Supply has been restored this afternoon and pumping resumed around 15h00. The network is still recovering and poor pressure to no water is expected in high-lying areas. Improvement is expected overnight.

Johannesburg Water is monitoring the situation and recovery of systems. Updates will be provided as soon they become available.

Wynberg, Bramley & Surroundings: repairs were completed early this morning.

Due to the prolonged outage, the water supply has not been fully restored. Water tankers continue to provide alternative supply Johannesburg Water will monitor and provide update to customers as they become available.

Customer Notice

Greenstone: Repairs were completed yesterday evening and water restored. Isolated incidents of no water to be logged through the Customer Call Centre for reference numbers.

Bryanston: Areas without water were fully restored yesterday late afternoon. Isolated incidents of no water to be logged through the Customer Call Centre for reference numbers.

Wynberg & Surroundings: Repairs were completed early this morning. Due to the prolonged water outage, the line will be filled this morning and disinfected and flushed first before normal supply will be restored. Water tankers will continue to provide water until the system is fully restored.

Eikenhof Pump station: Eikenhof is pumping at full load. We have Randburg/ Roodepoort system have fully recovered. However, the Commando system, which comprises of Crosby, Brixton, and Hursthill reservoir is still at critical levels.

Palmiet Pump Station: Eskom power supply restored last night, and Rand Water Palmiet system is pumping at full capacity.

Johannesburg Water’s Sandton system, Midrand system, South Hills Tower, Alexandra Park reservoir, Linksfield reservoir & Diepsloot

Johannesburg Water continues to monitor the recovery of the system and will provide an update on any changes.
