We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.

Ennerdale Lawley reservior

We are currently experiencing high water demand at Ennerdale Lawley reservior water supply. We will close the reservoirs tonight from 7pm and reopen on Friday 1 May 2020 at 4am to allow reservoirs to pick up storage. Affected areas are Ennerdale all extensions, Lawley all extensions.

UPDATE – The pipe kicked off when we open water earlier, team still busy with repairs and expect to complete and restore water around 22:30. Apologies for the inconvenience.There were 2 burst pipe in vorna valley today, one in Berger road, another in Pretorious road. We have finished repairs in Berger road. Pretorious road will be finished in 2 hours. We will open water all at once.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 20H50pm – JW team has finished tightening the bolts, now balancing the pipe and light compaction, fitter on the way to open water. Please note it will take a while before everyone has water in their taps as the line was completely empty. Thanks for your patience.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 18H20pm – We are making some progress as the team is busy installing cascade clamps to wrap the 1.3 meter diameter pipe. We expect to complete in the next 4-5 hours and will immediately start pressuring the line. Apologies for the inconvenience.

 

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 16H20pm – Repairs are still in progress. We appeal for patience. Water tankers are still available to assist.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 14H00pm – The team has completed the excavations and busy constructing couplings to join the pipes together. We appeal for patience and there is still no ETA at this moment. Water tankers are still available to assist.

UPDATE: 24 April 2020, 07H40am – We were unable to adequately excavate the pipe area properly, we have requested an excavator, which will be on site this morning. Ten trucks are out roaming the affected areas. Apologies for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: 19H40 – ‪We have six water tanks and ten trucks are roaming in the high lying areas. President Park reservior reservior relatively empty. The JW team is on site and excavation has commenced. Please do use water sparingly
