Johannesburg Water pleads for patience with residents that were affected by the emergency interruption that started yesterday morning for a tie-in in Lonehill, Bryanston, Fourways and surrounding areas while the technical team works on restoring water.
The contractor that was working on joining the new 450mm diameter pipe to the existing network experienced some delays onsite and thus could not complete the work on time.
The work was completed earlier this morning and the reservoir feeding the affected areas has been opened. Technical team is on the ground flushing hydrants and checking pressure reducing valves in preparation of restoring water. The system will take some time to build capacity and therefore restore.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
