Kindly note that due to a power failure at the Witpoortjie pump station, Grobler Park and Witpoortjie are experiencing water outages. There is no estimate time when power will be restored. Rand Water, our bulk water supplier has issued a notice of 20% water restrictions to Municipalities in Gauteng due to network being under severe pressure whereby the water demand consistently exceeds the water supply. These restrictions were implemented to allow for the recovery of its network systems and will impact some parts of Johannesburg were residents will experience intermittent water supply.
Furthermore, Rand Water had a power supply issue at their Zuikerbosh purification works yesterday which negatively impacted on their Palmiet pumping system that feeds their Meyers Hill reservoir which supplies our South Hills tower. The reservoir is currently below the threshold at which we can pump into the tower which means the tower area is currently without water supply. Areas like Linmeyer, South Hills, Risana, The Hill and surrounding areas will be affected.

Please take note of the major burst at Cnr. Blandford and Bellairs- Northriding. Technical difficulties experienced onsite and problem still not resolved. Due to burst experienced this has caused the reservoir to be affected and has since being emptied.

Please take note that Cosmo Creek is experiencing intermittent supply of water. Special material needs to be sourced to resolve problem onsite and this is currently being processed through procurement. There is no estimate time when problem onsite will be resolved.
Alternate Water Supply: Water tankers have been placed onsite and we will also have roaming tankers in the area.
