Johannesburg Water wishes to inform residents that Alexander Park Reservoir is stable. South Hills Tower is still critically low due to insufficient water supply. It’s estimated that recovery may commence later this evening. Areas affected by the South Hills Tower are Risana, Linmeyer, South Hills, Tulisa Park, Steeledale, The Hill, Oakdene, Rosettenville and Klipriviersberg Estate. Alternative water supply is focused on key sites. Johannesburg Water urges customers to reduce consumption for critical needs during this period as the systems recover.
We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.

Team has removed the damaged section of the pipeline and will be installing a new section of pipe during the repair process. The estimated completion time is 10pm this evening.
Affected areas include:
• Greymont
• Montgomery Park

Tie-In Cladon avenue and corner 5th street in Chartwell. Repairs have been completed and water has been restored to affected areas. Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused.

We are experiencing high water demand from Lenasia high level & Lenasia Hospital Hill Reservoirs supply areas. We will be closing the reservoirs between 13H00 & 17H00 to build capacity. Affected areas: Zakariyya Park, Vlakfontein, Lehae, Lenasia South, Migson Manor and Finetown.

Pumps at the Rand Water Suikerbosch purification plant tripped this morning. This affected pumping into their Palmiet pump station. The Rand Water Klipriviersberg & Meyershill Reservoirs are still critically low, impacting supply to the South and East of Johannesburg. Currently both Alexander Park and Linksfield Reservoirs are affected. We urge residents to reduce consumption at this time.
