City Power confirmed power failure which subsequently affected Johannesburg Water Crosby electrical mains. This has disabled pumping from Crosby to Brixton and Hursthill reservoirs. City Power Technicians are onsite. Residents supplied by these reservoirs will experience intermittent to no water supply. Johannesburg Water apologises to residents for inconvenience caused.

Rand Water experienced a power outage affecting Eikenhof pumpstation as well as the Crosby pumpstation. This is impacting on water supply to the Crosby/ Brixton and Hurst Hill reservoirs. Areas are currently experiencing intermittent water pressure to no water supply.
Alternative supply through mobile tankers are currently being arranged for customers in affected areas.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly, as Technicians work on restarting the pumps.

Brixton reservoir and Brixton Tower system are in recovery.
Customers is affected zones may still experience inconsistent supply while the system is being restored.
