Johannesburg Water Update:
Eikenhof 2 pumps tripped. This is impacting on water supply to the Crosby/Brixton and Hurst Hill reservoirs. Especially Hurst Hill is affected. Areas will experience low water pressure to no water.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly, as Rand Water Technicians work on the situation.

JW Update Rand Water reduced water supply due to Eikenhoff pumps tripping.
There is a 50% reduction in water supply to the Brixton/ Hursthill and Crosby system. The Hursthill reservoir is at a very low level.
Rand Water technicians are onsite attending to the problem.
Customers in the following areas may experience low pressure or no water.
Affected areas include:
Newclare
Westbury
Claremont
Coronationville
Sophiatown
Westdene

Rand Water pumps are repaired. Water supply is back at full capacity. This will enable the recovery of the Hursthill reservoir.
Customers in affected areas may experience low pressure or no water while the system recovers.
