Supply from Eikenhof system was used to supplement the Palmiet system during the outage over the past weekend. Supply from Eikenhof is back to normal capacity. The Hursthill reservoir has been impacted and is in the process of recovering. Customers in higher lying areas may experience inconsistent supply or low pressure as the Hursthill system is being restored. Mobile tankers will be focusing on affected areas during this period. Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused.
We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.
