Sandton system update
Illovo reservoir
The overnight throttling of the reservoir has boosted levels, which improved during the night.
The outlets are partially opened to gradually supply residents, and poor pressure is expected in the supply zone while the system is recovering.
Illovo tower
Although pumping has resumed, the tower is still critically low. Poor pressure to no water is expected while the system recovers.
Bryanston reservoir
The reservoir is currently low, and outlets are partially open to supply residents. However, poor pressure to no water is expected in the supply zone while the system recovers.
Bryanston tower
The tower has improved and is supplying normally.
Linbro Park and Marlboro
Both reservoirs have improved, and the outlets are partially opened to supply residents. Poor pressure can still be expected while the system recovers.
Morningside reservoir
The reservoir has improved; and the outlet is partially opened to the supply zone. Poor pressure can still be expected while the system recovers.
Johannesburg Water will continue to monitor the Sandton system. The overnight throttling is scheduled to begin at 21:00 and conclude in the morning at 04:00. Some areas may still encounter low water pressure while the system recovers. The Sandton system is currently undergoing recovery.
