Update: Grand Central and Erand
Grand Central
Due to the configuration of the system overnight, the Grand Central Reservoir improved and is at satisfactory level, enabling pumping to the tower overnight. The tower level is satisfactory, and pumping has stopped this morning to allow the reservoir to build. The areas from the tower will be supplied fairly.
Erand Reservoir and Tower
The reservoirs and tower are stable but low. Johannesburg Water is currently not pumping to the Tower until the reservoirs are able to recover further. The tower has water and is currently supplying fairly. The level of the reservoirs is being monitored.
There is currently no estimated time for full recovery. However, Johannesburg Water continues to closely monitor the situation and will implement system configurations as and when required to balance supply between the two reservoirs.
Alternative water supply also continues to be provided where required.
