MAJOR BURST PIPE IN FOURWAYS

Johannesburg Water teams are currently attending to a major burst that happened last night on William Nicol drive that is affecting supply to Craigavon, Fourways Gardens, Dainfern and part s of Kengies.

Water supply has been isolated to the affected section and excavation has been completed and repairs are in progress, the team attended to a collapsed sewer line and incidentally broke a water line which was pressurized during excavation.

As per our license condition Johanneburg Water dispatched our laboratory teams to the scene to conduct water quality tests on the line, and interim results show no contamination on the water and we expect final results by tomorrow Thursday 09 January 2020.

Johannesburg Water would like to assure all residents of the City of Johannesburg that we are committed to providing quality water and we will do everything to ensure our water comply with SANS 241 standards at all times.

Repairs have been completed and currently recharging the line and thanks for your patience.
