Kindly note that Johannesburg Water teams have investigated and confirmed a reoccurrence of the burst pipe in the veld. The team is currently attending to repairs. Alternate water supply is being arranged for affected streets. We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.

We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.

Johannesburg Water Update: Hursthill.

City Power experienced a trip at their Orlando substation which subsequently affected Rand Water Eikenhoff pump station.

This has resulted in reduced pumping and has affected JW’s Hurst Hill zone. Residents may experience intermittent flow to no water in the area, however there’s already an improvement in the increase of flow to the Hurst Hill reservoir.

Johannesburg Water urges residents to continue using water sparingly.

Water has been isolated. Repairs have commenced.

Affected areas include parts of Chartwell, Farmall, Broadacres and Kya Sands.

Estimated time for completion is midnight.

Water has been isolated. Specific materials are being sourced.

Affected areas include parts of Chartwell, Farmall, Broadacres and Kya Sands.

There is no estimated time for completion at this stage.
