JW Update: Emergency Shutdown: Cedar and Witkoppen rd: Due to a major burst at Cedar and Witkoppen rd, water will be isolated on 2nd February 2022.

Fourways, Maroeladal, Craigavon, Witkoppen, Fourways life hospital, Witkoppen clinic, Kengies, Dainfern, Pineslopes, Beverly and Lonehill.
Arrangements for alternate water supply will be made for affected areas.
We request customers make provisions for water storage during the outage.

JW Update: Major burst near Msawawa settlement:
The team has located a major burst in the veld close to Msawawa settlement.
Water is being isolated. Excavation will commence tomorrow morning to access damages to the main.

Alternate supply is being made available through water tanks.
Affected areas include parts of Chartwell, Farmall, Broadacres and Kya Sands.

There is no estimated time for completion at this stage.

Repairs are completed. Pipeline in process of being supported in the excavation to prevent further bursts.

Hydrants being flushed to remove air from the system.
Water to be restored from 8pm.

Affected areas include:
Parts of Morningside, Strathavon and Sandown.
